Women's Young Professional Scholarship

About Adele A. Konefal

Adele A. Konefal, a longtime resident of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was employed as a safety traffic manager at various transportation companies in the area. She was a member and past president of the Eastern States Women’s Traffic Club, where a scholarship was established in her name for students studying traffic safety. Konefal passed away in 2008 at the age of 98. In 2010, Konefal’s family established the Adele A. Konefal Women's Young Professional Scholarship for women to attend the annual Transportation Engineering and Safety Conference at Penn State.

Eligibility

The Transportation Engineering and Safety Conference provides networking opportunities and the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the transportation field.

The scholarship is open to practicing female transportation professional 35 years of age or younger in the continental United States. The scholarship will cover the conference registration fee.
